At this time, Art=Visual is offering both CS4 and CS5 courses in Photoshop. When reading the Course Outline (scroll downward to see it), if a subject says New to CS5, this is taught in the CS5 version of the course. If a subject says Enhanced for CS5, this means that the basic function is in both the CS4 and CS5 versions, but that CS5 has added some enhancements. These enhancements would be covered in the CS5 course only.
Note: Maximum class size at our Atlanta classroom is two students. Three or more students must train on-site at their place of business. For more information, please read about our class sizes.
Note on Fees: Multiple student discounts are for multiple students from one organization.
Class Times
Classes can be held at any time per the customer's schedule, but unless arranged otherwise, classes run from 9 AM to 5 PM each day, with an hour for lunch.
Description
Our Photoshop CS4/CS5 Level 2 course is essential for those who want to work on a professional level with Photoshop, and the topics apply to both Graphic/Web Designers and Photographers. In addition to completely new topics, the Level 2 course takes Level 1 skills and teaches students better and faster ways to work, in some cases shattering concepts learned in the earlier courses. Without these skills there is simply no way to work in a professional graphic design or photography environment. Before taking this course, students should be completely competent with the skills taught in the Level 1 course (Print and Web Graphics or Photographers).
After completing this course a student will be able to:
• Unlock Photoshop's creative potential with Masking
•
Understand Color Management
• Take advantage of all advanced layer
features
• Create advanced selections so that your compositions are completely
believable (especially compositions involving hair and fur).
• Work non-destructively with Smart Objects and Smart Filters
• Utilize Blend Modes to save you time and allow you to be more creative
options and save you time
• Automate many repetitive tasks to save
you time
Class materials
Steve uses his own photographs and written materials for the class. For students who did not take the Level 1 course, Art=Visual provides them with their own copy of Deke McClelland's Photoshop CS4/CS5 One-On-One book to use as a reference manual.
Art=Visual classes have plenty of hands-on practices that allow students to create real world art and compositions.
